Traffic Safety Rules for Drivers

The following are the traffic safety rules that every driver must remember.




Never leave your home without your driver’s license. Never set foot on your car without it.



If you are a parent driving with your kids, take note that kids do learn from experience. Be a role model and follow traffic rules. Here are some instances where drivers love to break the law.


1. Entering a close road or the one-way street when there are no traffic police or when no one is looking.

2. Parking on no-parking areas

3. Beating the red light when no one is looking




Be in your best condition and behavior when driving. Keep your cool. Sometimes altercation do happens when people are in hurry and loses patience easily.



Upon seeing even a single person crossing the pedestrian, slow down. Make a full stop before the pedestrian lane. It is also advisable to slow down when approaching a populated area.



When traffic light is situated on the pedestrian lane, observe it carefully.



When policeman is manning the pedestrian lane, observe the signage that they are holding or their hand signals.



When approaching bus stops, slow down. Give way to school buses when they are at halt at bus stations. Kids are sometimes slow with their movement.
